The ultimate comunication platform for gamers

Clansmate started out as a concept, and turned into a full functioning company. The main idea was to take out the entire Matchmaking out of the game, and into a more "General" platform which will allow the player to: Find & Keep in touch with players on his level - a cross all games, and not just on one.

On the other hand, Clansmate also functioned as a fully web based Voice over IP Solution, and also a clan managment destination. The entire project was supposed to give the gamer everything they require, without having to rely on many services and products from various places.

My role Leading the design & Product

Since this was my own project, me and the other 3 co founders were in charge of the product planning - while I was in charge of producing the design & ux solutions for our feature ideas.

The Challenge Scaling was rough.

Getting our first users was easy. in less than 2 weeks we were already at 50K and counting. The only problem was - our system was still not what we wanted it to be - and our users felt that. Users started leaving, since and there was still no way of communicating with each other in there - in a platform that is all about communication.

After a small identity problem - where we didn't quite figure out what we wanted to be, we released Clansmate V.2 at the Web Summit tech convention at Ireland, as one of the presentors..
